B/W did-you-knows

Pokemon Black 2 Boxart EN.png
Shoul be Steroids Version.
We all know that  Pokémon Black 2 and White 2  (the English version, dude) is just around the corner. Don't get your hopes up too much, though: it's still months before you find out what the hype's all about. That is, if you're no kanji reader.

So, as we all wait impatiently for the English release, here's some B/W did-you-knows that you need to know. Coolio!

  • Game Freak spent about one and a half years developing the story and characters. Purty cool if you ask me; the story was epic!
  • Pokémon Black and White are the first main series games to require the version mascot to be specifically caught. You will never have the chance to finish the game at all if you fail to catch Reshiram (for Black) or Zekrom ( for White).
  • In the international versions, Pokémon names are no longer displayed in all capital letters. No more wild ZUBAT for you.

Every freakin' time.
  • When the games were advertised or reported on  Pokémon Sunday, the song Black or White by Michael Jackson was played multiple times as a reference to the titles of the games. Japanese.
  • The slogan used in the commercials for these games is "Start From a New Beginning". Yeah, right. Start from an new Digimon-like beginning. Kidding!
  • Due to the DS cartridges being black, Pokémon Black is the first Pokémon game since Emerald to have its cartridge match the color of the game. Fun.
  • It's the first  Pokémon game to receive a perfect 40/40 from gaming mag Famitsu!
  • It's got the most number of new Pokémon introduced in a single game.

Got any more DYKs about the games? Go ahead and share it in the comments!

Stay tuned for more deets, guys! Later!
